I-35 from south of Loop 82 to north of River Ridge Parkway

Overview

This project consists of new northbound I-35 ramps between Loop 82 (Aquarena Springs Drive) and River Ridge Parkway. A northbound exit ramp to River Ridge Parkway would be constructed and an existing northbound entrance ramp south of River Ridge Parkway would be relocated to provide adequate weaving distance.

• Relocate existing northbound entrance ramp south of River Ridge Parkway to provide adequate weaving distance
• Reconstruct the northbound frontage road between Loop 82 and River Ridge Parkway

Funding

• Project development funded by TxDOT
• Construction funded by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and TxDOT
• Construction cost: $14 million

Schedule

• Finalize schematic and environmental documentation: March 2017
• Begin Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E): May 2016
• Complete PS&E: anticipated July 2020
• Construction letting: anticipated July 2020
• Construction start: January 2021
• Construction completion: December 2022
