I-35 from RM 150 to Blanco River

Overview

One new ramp was added and five existing ramps were modified between RM 150 and the Blanco River.

Need & Purpose

• Improve safety and mobility

Project Description

• Reversed the southbound ramp configurations between RM 150 and Yarrington Road
• Reversed the northbound ramp configuration between Yarrington Road and RM 150
• Relocated the northbound Yarrington Road exit ramp
• Constructed a new northbound entrance ramp at the location of the existing Yarrington Road exit ramp

Funding

• Project development funded by TxDOT
• Construction funded by Proposition 1
• Construction cost: $9 million

Schedule

• Finalized schematic and environmental documentation: July 2015
• Begin Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E): July 2015
• Complete PS&E: December 2015
• Construction letting: December 2015
• Construction start: April 2016
• Construction completion: November 2017
